Where 49ers stand in NFL playoff picture entering Saturday game vs. Seahawks
Here's where the 49ers stand in the NFL playoff picture entering a winner-take-all game on Saturday vs. the Seahawks in Santa Clara.
To the victors go the spoils, and the spoils for the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday was a little social-media trolling of the Carolina Panthers after their 27-10 win.
Sam Darnold found AJ Barner for a 17-yard touchdown and now the Seahawks lead the Panthers 17-3 with 5:32 left in the third quarter. Back to back turnovers from DeMarcus Lawrence and Julian Love have fueled Seattle's sudden burst of momentum.
Seattle allowed just 139 total yards and forced two turnovers in a dominant defensive display. The Seahawks' 13th win of the season ties a franchise record -- their two previous seasons with as many victories resulted in Super Bowl appearances. As in previous weeks, Seattle didn't hold back from trolling its opponent after a win.
The Seattle Seahawks, led by quarterback Sam Darnold, face the Carolina Panthers, led by quarterback Bryce Young, on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
